Doctoral Internship
Welcome to our APA Accredited Doctoral Internship Program in Health Service Psychology at the UNC Counseling Center! We are now welcoming applications for the 2024-2025 training year. The application deadline is November 3, 2023. We welcome and encourage applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds.
This full-time, 2000-hour Doctoral Internship program is designed to provide a broad-based professional training experience in the range of activities carried out by psychologists in a university counseling center. This internship is designed for doctoral candidates who will have completed their practicum requirements and who are at the pre-doctoral level of training.
Accreditation Status
The Doctoral Internship program at the Counseling Center is accredited by the American Psychological Association. Our internship program was a recipient of one of the APA Board of Educational Affairs internship grants in January 2013. This generous grant permitted us to expand our internship to three slots.
