UNC campus west of Michener Library and adjacent to Nottingham Field

Learning has never been so fun! Come and get engaged with interactive demonstrations and hands-on learning activities by UNC departments and student clubs as well as businesses and organizations from throughout the community. Plus, enjoy center-stage performances and indulge in delicious food prepared by UNC's award-winning dining services.

NOTE: Community Fest is an outdoor venue and will be held outdoors at our planned location regardless of the weather forecast on Saturday.

  • FREE admission
  • FREE parking. All university parking lots are open to the public on homecoming weekend (no passes or permits are required). There is plenty of parking on the west side of campus near Michener Library/Nottingham Field south of the intersection of 14th Avenue and 20th Street.
  • Live entertainment, performances and music by UNC and the community
  • Activities area with inflatable games, face painting and more
  • Hands-on learning fun with UNC academic departments, student clubs, and local businesses and organizations

After the event join us for the UNC Football Game at Nottingham Stadium, kickoff against TBA at TBA p.m..

*Food is not included with free admission.

Interested in participating in a "new" Homecoming tradition?

Join us on Saturday,October TBA, 9:00 a.m. for the Community Fest at UNC Homecoming 5K fun run and walk. The fee is $15 and includes a long sleeve shirt, breakfast burrito and other goodies.

You can register anytime by stopping at the UNC Recreation Center, or registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on race day in front of the recreation center. Pre-registration is available online at:
