July 8: Denver

Daniel Grandbois will read from and discuss his new collection of stories, Unlucky Lucky Days, on Tuesday, July 8th, at Tattered Cover's LoDo store at 7:30 pm. He will also perform unplugged with the group Munly and the Lupercalians.

July 17:  Aspen

The Aspen Writers’ Foundation and Town Center Booksellers present "The Mountains of Solitude: An Evening of Tibetan and American Buddhist Poetry" on Thursday, July 17,  7 p.m, at the bookstore, 211 Midland Avenue, Basalt, CO. The program features readings of ancient and contemporary Tibetan poetry and modern American Buddhist poems. The four local readers are poet/actors: Jordan Dann of the Aspen Writers’ Foundation; Valerie Haugen of Thunder River Theatre Company; Kim Nuzzo of the Hudson-Reed Ensemble; and Cam Scott, poet-performer and fly fisherman. The event is free.

August 9: Grand Junction

Sandra Dorr and Wendy Videlock will be reading with other local writers at the Art Fest at the Western Colorado Art Center on 7th Street in Grand Junction from 12-2 p.m.

Sept. 6: Boulder

The Yellow Pine Poets present “String Theory:Life Lines” (“connection, disconnection and jump ropes in word, music, sound, and touch”) featuring Kristin Anderson, Erin Christensen-Mandel, Maggie Boys, Suzanne Schmidt, Paige Doughty, Kate McElroy, Ellen Orleans, and others, at the Wild Sage Community House on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. Free.
