About the Project
The Colorado Oral History and Migratory Labor Project, a project in Mexican American Studies associated with the Hispanic Studies Department at the University of Northern Colorado, seeks to document the history of Mexican origin migratory labor in Northern Colorado from 1942 to the present. The Colorado Oral History and Migratory Labor Project has three goals:
- To document the Bracero labor history in Northern Colorado between 1942-1964 (Colorado Bracero Project).
- To document the migratory patterns of Mexican populations to northern Colorado and the recent impact of immigration raids on families
(Workplace Raids Project)
- To develop archival material, curriculum and research about migration and the impact of migration on children to be used in school and teacher education programs (Project Luz).
