- School psychology faculty member publishes book
- School of Special Education Receives Grant UNC's School of Special Education is one of 20 special education teacher training programs nationwide to receive a U.S. Department of Education grant to help train highly qualified teachers of students with high incidence disabilities such as learning disabilities, emotional disturbance and mental retardation. The $99,932 grant to UNC's program was part of $2.4 million awarded to schools in 15 states to ensure that graduates meet the highly qualified teacher requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, according to a Department of Education news release.
