Welcome to the University of Northern Colorado’s School of Nursing local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, Zeta Omicron. This site serves as a resource for learning, knowledge, and professional development for our members both on campus and in the community.

Please join us for a presentation on "Using Appalachian Service Opportunities to Engage Students in Service and Scholarship", featuring Audrey Snyder, PhD, RN, ACNP-BC, FAANP, FAEN

Snyder Bio:
Doctor Audrey Snyder graduated from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Danville, Virginia with a Diploma in 1984. She subsequently completed her RN-BSN, MSN with a Clinical Nurse Specialist focus, Post-Master’s Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and PhD in Nursing at the University of Virginia. She has held many nursing roles in critical care, emergency and flight nursing during her 30 years in Nursing. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Northern Colorado School of Nursing. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Academy of Emergency Nursing. Her experiences in emergency and community health have put her in a position to be called upon for both domestic and international mission work. Her first international mission trip was in 1999 to Bihar, India. Since that time she has organized 24 Remote Area Medical Clinics in the US including New Orleans following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, has provided medical care in El Salvador with Nursing Students Without Borders and most recently Haiti for disaster relief and medical missions following the 2010 earthquake. She has a research interest in evaluating programs to increase access to healthcare in rural underserved communities both in the United States and abroad.
