Superior Chapter
The UNC chapter of the FMA is the only chapter in the nation to receive the superior chapter designation each of the last 8 years. Only 16 schools in the nation received the distinction last year, which resulted from fulfilling the following requirements:
All of the following four tasks must be completed:
- Select an Outstanding Financial Executive of the Year.
- Select 2 nominees to the FMA Professional Honor Society.
- Completion of 2 annual reports: consisting of names, addresses and phone numbers of officers and advisor.
- Formal induction of all national honor society members.
And four of the following:
- Student attendance at the FMA Annual Meeting (October).
- Student attendance at the FMA Finance Leaders' Conference (March).
- Publication of a Chapter newsletter.
- Publication of a Chapter resume book.
- Minimum of 8 speaker/career development programs during the academic year.
- Minimum of 2 financial institution/corporate tours during the academic year.
- Submission of 3 press releases to the Tampa office (FMA International headquarters) for possible publication in the Financial Management Forum.
