UNC Study Abroad Affiliated Programs
Students planning on studying abroad through an affiliated program MUST apply through CIE to study abroad, as well as through the individual affiliated program. Other than completing an additional application for the program provider, the process of stuyding abroad will be the same as studying through a UNC partner school.
The providers below offer both need-based and merit-based scholarships and you are encouraged to apply for any and all scholarships for which you are eligible.
Any student interested in studying abroad through a program below must complete a Study Abroad Application. If you do not follow UNC procedures for study abroad, you will not be elibible for financial aid, nor will your credits be guaranteed to transfer back towards your degree. When in doubt, come by the Study Abroad & Exchange Office at the CIE or contact the study abroad office.
The six programs below are the only programs with which UNC has an affiliation agreement. If you plan on studying abroad through ANY program differnt from one found on this page, you MUST get approval from the Director of Study Abroad.

If you decide to study abroad through another study abroad provider NOT listed on this page, you will need to speak with the Study Abroad Coordinator to approve the program, and you will be assessed a $500 application fee, instead of the regular $300.
