Spring 2014 Globetrotter Photo Contest Call for Entries

Submit your photos in one or all of the following categories: 1) Up Close and Personal; 2) The View from Here; 3) If I had a Hammer; and 4) Bears Abroad.   All photos must be accompanied with a name, a brief description (100 word max), and a completed entry form. UNC Students Receive National Scholarship for Study Abroadgilman

Congratulations to our UNC students who have been awarded the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program with awards up to $8,000 for study abroad.

The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are planning to study abroad. The program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go by supporting undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints.

The deadline for Summer and Fall 2014 awards will be in mid-January. For more information on the scholarship and applicaiton process, visit the Gilman International Scholarship web site.

Nathan Mueller will be studying Japanese and Asian Studies in Tokyo, Japan in the the spring and fall.

Deborah Hawley will be studying fine art in Tanjung Malim, Malaysia.
