Health Insurance Requirements

The University of Northern Colorado requires all its international students to maintain adequate health insurance throughout the duration of their visa status. The Student Insurance Office must approve your health insurance policy before you will be eligible to register for classes.

If you already have an insurance policy, it must meet the criteria listed on the website and it must be approved by the Student Insurance Office, located in Cassidy Hall.

If you are on a J-1 visa, you are required to purchase insurance for your dependents in the U.S. If you are on an F-1 visa, you are strongly encouraged to purchase insurance for your dependents in the U.S.
