Tutoring
Tutoring Program Overview
The CHE tutoring program promotes student learning and success by offering a variety of individual and small group study environments in which students receive additional academic support. Along with specific support in individual courses, tutoring sessions focus on effective time management, study skills, and test-taking strategies. Students who take advantage of tutorial services go on to become independent and successful learners. Check out the full range of academic support available to all CHE students and make tutorial services a part of your academic plan for success!
CHE Tutor Team
The CHE tutor team consists of a Tutoring Coordinator and three or four peer English tutors. Our peer tutors are the heart and soul of the English tutoring program within CHE. As students themselves, they understand what it takes to develop effective writing skills, and they are dedicated to helping CHE students find their voice as college-level writers. All peer English tutors are trained and certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
Ccontact Cathy Heise at (970) 351-1906 if you are interested in being a peer English tutor or email her at catherine.heise@unco.edu.
