Tutoring Program Overview
The CHE tutoring program promotes student learning and success by offering a variety of individual and small group environments in which students receive additional writing support. For example, on Tuesday evenings, from 4-6 PM, CHE has an open Writing Lab where students can drop in to get support with their writing needs for their English course and/or help with their other writing intensive courses. Students can also call to make an appointment to see an individual peer tutor through the CHE front desk at (970) 351-1905.
Students who take advantage of tutorial services go on to become independent and successful learners. Check out the full range of academic support available to all CHE students and make tutorial services a part of your academic plan for success!
CHE Tutor Team
The CHE tutor team consists of a Tutoring Coordinator and three peer English tutors. Our peer tutors are the heart and soul of the English tutoring program within CHE. As students themselves, they understand what it takes to develop effective writing skills, and they are dedicated to helping CHE students find their voice as college-level writers. All peer English tutors are trained and certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
Contact Cathy Heise at (970) 351-1906 if you are interested in being a peer English tutor or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
