Erick Chavez, Peer Mentor
Hello everyone, my name is Erick and I am a senior majoring in Mexican American Studies with minors in Human Services and Multicultural Anthropology. I am the first one in my family to attend a university, and I am very excited to continue my education. I am a McNair and Reisher Scholar and I plan to attend graduate school after graduating from UNC. Aside from my involvement in CHE I am involved in the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). I also enjoy reading and watching movies in my free time. I am excited to be working for CHE and looking forward to meeting many new people.

Hello! My name is Nina and I am so excited to be a peer mentor this year! I love the outdoors; the mountains are my favorite place to be. Music is an essential part of my life and at the moment, Frank Ocean is my absolute favorite. My hobbies include meditation, watching football, singing, and loving life! orin Psychology, and I am currently a junior. What I want to achieve as a peer adviser is to be able tobe aperson that CHE students can always come to; that after their first year they are able to say that they made it and will continue to make it. I want CHE students to be able to look up to me in allthat they do. I hope to bring out the talents that they could not always see within themselves. I am not sure what I want students to remember me by I just hope that their memories are filled with joy and smiles.

My name is Delia Teresa Balderrama. I am a senior, majoring in Elementary
Education with ESL, Bilingual Bicultural, and Spanish endorsements. I am from Denver, Colorado and a first generation student. I am part of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority Inc. and love to perform! This is my first year working with CHE and Cumbres and I am very excited to work with the new cohort! My goal for this academic year is to help students have an awesome experience at UNC!
