Philosophy
The CHE Advising team uses a holistic, all-encompassing approach to support students' success at UNC. We seek to provide intentional contact with all students with the goal of developing a caring and beneficial relationship. The goal is to create an environment in which each student can explore their potential while achieving success in the university environment. What this means for the students is assistance in the areas of academics, financial aid, residence life, and in the career-decision process. CHE advisors also provide information to students that may include campus-wide activities and events, student organizations and resources.
Individual Success Plans
The Academic Advising staff develops Individual Success Plans (ISP) for all students in the CHE program. The ISP is designed to aid the student academically and personally, as well as to facilitate extracurricular and career goals. Each Individual Success Plan is tailored to the specific needs of the student.
