University of Northern Colorado Professional Development
The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning (CETL) provides professional development across the university, covering all departments. As its name suggests, it strategizes in improved means for educational performance; however, the quality of achievement in the classroom is also dependent on the performance of the human support systems throughout our campus.
Last fall, CETL started focusing on the professional development of our staff. Based on our survey and feedback from Professional Administrative Staff Council (PASC) and the Classified Staff Council (CSC), a full selection of professional development opportunities were assembled specifically for the UNC staff. This spring we continued the initiative by offering Staff Forums specially tailored for the continuation of the Professional Development of UNC staff. This summer we are working on adding new Staff Forums for the fall, new workshops for the Summer Intensive and new Professional Development training opportunities. In addition we have created an innovative new position this year; a Staff Fellow will be added to the CETL team. Julie Tacker from Human Resources has accepted the position and will work in partnership with our Coordinator for Professional Development, Robin Weber, to put together various types of workshops, seminars and training for the UNC staff and faculty. Click on the Staff Fellow link on this page to view more information about Julie. Be sure to check your email and the UNC calendar for upcoming events!
