The Faculty Fellows work collaboratively to support faculty across their colleges and the institution, in collaboration with CETL. Fellows also have a strong interest in the advancement of the scholarship of teaching and learning and supporting such traditions at UNC. Fellows work collegially within their respective colleges and beyond, and serve to accomplish the following:
- Effectively expand institutional faculty development capacity by implementing a faculty-teaching-faculty model;
- Customize specific faculty development initiatives within each college based on each college’s priorities and disciplinary and instructional contexts;
- Help meet faculty teaching and learning needs and support the scholarship of teaching and more broadly, engaged scholarship, involving external communities;
- Share and disseminate best practices among the T&L Fellows, thus creating opportunities for faculty in different colleges to be exposed to discipline-specific teaching and learning strategies and potentially those that are also the focus of another college.
In addition to the Fellows, we have online links to Teaching & Learning resources, an online Adjunct Handbook, a list of Faculty Forums (presentations given by faculty), a Video Library, and various workshops and Professional Development opportunities.
