Dean of Students Office
The purpose of the Dean of Students Office is to enhance and recognize student learning and personal responsibility through:
- Resolving student issues which may include consultation with faculty and staff;
- Serving as an information and referral center for the campus community;
- Coordinating a student recognition and awards program for academic and leadership achievement;
- Holding students accountable who have exhibited conduct incompatible with the academic mission of the University.

The Dean of Students Office develops and enforces standards of student conduct to promote a safe and respectful living and learning environment. In an effort to foster civility, empathy, and accountability, the student conduct process aims to serve as a learning experience that can result in growth and personal understanding of one's responsibilities and privileges within both the university and the greater community.
The Student Code of Conduct is updated and available online through the Dean of Students Office.
There are many ways to share concerns with the Dean of Students office. UNC faculty, students, and staff may call the Dean of Students office at (970) 351-2796 or visit the office, which is located on the third floor of the University Center across from the Panorama Room. Anyone concerned about the health or safety of a student may also contact the UNC Response Team by completing an online Health and Safety Referral Form at https://apps.unco.edu/HealthAndSafetyReferral/.
Anyone who has experienced or witnessed bias-motivated behavior can learn more about the UNC Bias Response Process and submit an Online Bias Response Form. In emergencies, please contact the UNC Police Department at (970) 351-2245 if the incident is on the Greeley campus.
