Getting Started With UNC

Gaining a comfort level with the university and with your employment process is a powerful and important part of your introduction to UNC.

Bear Number

Your Bear Number is a permanent, unique number that identifies you as a member of the University community. It is used to identify you in the University computer systems. Your Bear Number never changes and is never reused. Your nine-digit Bear Number will be assigned to you when you are admitted as a student or become an employee of the University of Northern Colorado. Please see the administration assistant(s) in your hiring department for information about acquiring your Bear Number.

Visitor Center and University Contact

The Visitors Center for the Greeley campus (main campus) is located at 1862 10th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado, 80639. Please visit the UNC webpage for visitors to obtain information for campus visits and more information about the Greeley campus. The phone number for the Greeley campus operator is (970) 351-1890. The official university mailing address is 501 20th St., Greeley, Colorado, 80639, (the location of the mail room and warehouse). When mailing to individual departments, schools, or programs within the university, include a campus box number to ensure arrival. The office directory contains information for individual departments, including their campus box numbers, phone and fax numbers. The campus directory is continually updated.
