David Kendrick, Ed.D., Educational Research & Higher Education Administration serves as the director of the CETL, supporting and promoting the instructional design team and emerging technologies. Berniece Mitchell, Administrative Assistant, supports the department with all things clerical (paper, that is). She is new to UNC but has lived in Greeley most of her life. She is the voice you will hear when you call the CETL office, and she will do everything she can to make your call pleasant and worthwhile.

Alma
Azama M.A., Educational Leadership schedules, coordinates, and facilitates satellite teleconferences
and interactive compressed video conferences. She works with
faculty and presenters involved in video conferences to provide
training in the use of the delivery system (two-way interactive). As the Blackboard Administrator, Alma also creates and restores
Blackboard courses and provides training and support.

Nicholas Eastham, M.A., Education is currently working toward completion of a Ph.D in Educational Technology. He previously taught public school staff and students a wide variety of computer applications on both PC and Macintosh platforms. Nicholas has designed and maintained websites for public schools and non-profit organizations. He provides group trainings in the CETL classroom, and will make "house calls" for individuals or departments.

Ted
Leber is a telecommunications and electronic specialist.  His
primary responsibility is the repair of VCRs, TVs, overhead
projectors, and lab equipment for the campus. He also
assists in the installation of new classroom equipment and
serves as a back-up for the operation of the cable-TV system.

Li Wang, Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction specialized in Instructional Technology. She has extensive experience with facilitating faculty professional development, and has offered workshops on various instructional technologies in the past. Her interests include instructional design in general and distance learning. She mainly works with faculty on Quality Matters Project in Distance Learning and collaborates with colleagues on other projects. She provides in-house workshops for individuals or departments, and offers phone and walk-in consultations.

Tabby Harraf, M.S. Software Engineering and Microbiology has recently joined the Center after having served as Assistant Professor at Southern Utah University. She is a faculty member of the UNC Monfort College of Business and specializes in the teaching, assessment, and administration of computer literacy.

Robert Powers, Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Mathematics Education is the 2008-2009 Scholar in Residence. His project will involve the mentoring of graduate teaching assistants through lesson experiment methodology. Dr. Powers is an associate professor of mathematical sciences and works primarily in mathematics education with preservice and inservice secondary teachers. Brendan Dwyer, M.S. is CETL's Graduate Assistant. He is an administrator of the Graduate Teacher Program (GTP), and also handles all VHS-to-DVD conversions, media duplications of CD's, DVD's, and audio tapes, and is responsible for all on-site video recordings and editing. Brendan has over three years of experience working in education technology in higher education.
