CHE English Tutoring Program

The CHE English Tutoring Program promotes student learning and success by offering a variety of individual and small group environments in which students receive additional writing support. Offerings change from semester to semester, but often CHE offers drop-in group tutoring at scheduled times in the CHE Computer Lab. Students can drop in to work on papers, and CHE tutors will be available to answer basic editing questions. Students are encouraged to call to make an appointment to see an individual peer tutor through the CHE front desk at 970-351-1905.

Students who take advantage of tutorial services go on to become independent and successful learners.  Check out the full range of academic support available to all CHE students, and make tutorial services a part of your academic plan for success.

English Peer Tutor Team

Our English peer tutors must maintain a 3.0 GPA or above to work with us. They also undergo weekly trainings to enhance their skills as tutors and are dedicated to assisting CHE participants. As students themselves, they understand what it takes to develop effective writing skills, and they are dedicated to helping CHE students find their style and confidence as college-level writers.

Contact Cynthia Mitchell at 970-351-1906 if you are interested in being a Peer English Tutor or email her at cynthia.mitchell@unco.edu.
