Post Baccalaureate Programs
The School of Teacher Education offers three Post Baccalaureate licensure programs for individuals who already have earned a BA/BS degree in an appropriate field and would like to earn a Colorado teaching license:
- Elementary Master of Arts in Teaching INCLUDING Initial Licensure (K-6 Grades). The priority application deadline for cohorts beginning in summer 2012 in Denver, Greeley, Loveland, and Colorado Springs has passed; however, there are still spaces available in each geographic location. Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Please contact jon.shaw@unco.edu for more information.
- Secondary Licensure (Biology; Chemistry; Drama; Earth Science; English/Language Arts;French;Geography;German;History; Mathematics; Physics; Social Science;Spanish) (7-12 grades). May lead to Master of Arts in Teaching: Curriculum Studies or other Master's Degree.
- K-12 Licensure (Art, Music, Physical Education, Special Education). May lead to Master of Arts in Teaching: Curriculum Studies or other Master's Degree.

If you would like to add an endorsement through the Colorado Department of Education, please go HERE. You may also add endorsements after you complete UNC Teacher Licensure Endorsement Programs in Reading or Linguistically Diverse Education or initial licensure in Elementary, Secondary, or K-12 Education.
