Early Childhood Educator & Headstart Professionals Program (ECP)

  • This 59 credit program is designed for experienced professionals with an Early Childhood AA degree from any Colorado Community College. They may or may not be currently working in a child care setting.
  • Cooperative childcare may be arranged.
  • Classes will be offered in the evenings and/or weekends.
  • The program leads to a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Early Childhood Emphasis and Colorado Early Childhood Teaching License (Birth-Age 8).
  • Students pay on-campus tuition and are eligible for the Colorado Opportunity Fund stipend. Other financial aid is available. Current cost to student is $1,320.00 per semester (2008/09) for 6 credit hours.
  • Potential students should first apply online here. Accepted students will be notified when they need to apply to UNC.  
  • One or more courses may be required depending on Community College work.
