Special Education Doctoral students whose programs focus on Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, Blindness and Low Vision, or students with significant support needs have been designated as Western Regional Graduate Programs by the Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education.
This designation means that residents of the fourteen Western states (Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming) are eligible for in-state tuition.
Students must submit two of the following forms of proof that they are residents of one of the WICHE states.
- Residence in the WRGP eligible state for at least 9 consecutive months prior to the beginning of the first academic term of WRGP acceptance.
- Proof of a permanent address in the WRGP state.
- Payment of state income tax on wages earned in the WRGP state.
- Proof of the following in the WRGP state: Vehicle registration, driver's license, voter registration.
