Exam Evaluation

How will I know whether I have passed (or failed) my comprehensive exam?

Following the evaluation of your EDSE 999 portfolio by the Program Coordinator or his/her designate, a letter to you is generated, informing you of the results of your work. Letters typically go out about a week following the Graduate School's reception of results deadline.

Comprehensive Exam Retakes

If I fail my comprehensive exam, can I re-take it? What do I have to do and when?

Yes. Each student has two opportunities to successfully complete the comprehensive examination. Re-takes must be in the next semester following a failed examination. If an examination re-take results in failure, or if the student does not follow through with his/her re-take in the subsequent semester, the student's program is terminated, and the master degree is not awarded.
