Interest theory is the idea that a person has modivation to learn more about an idea or topic. Once the person has formed a motivation for the subject, they will soon be inclined to learn more and start to understand the information behind the idea. This will soon lead to goals and other modivational thoughts.
-It includes two different types: Situational and Individual.
Situational: triggered by external factors and exists as a short-term attraction to a learning activity
Individual: Interest that is created by a personal endevour or happening.
