Devils Bay Boulder

This large boulder is located at the north end of Devils Bay (next to a rounded boulder with a large scooped out cave inside it).

Arete ***V6? Ulta classic! This problem has it all: arete, overhang, bulge, slab; pockets, side-pulls, crimps; solid rock, sandy landing -- even a down climb and jump into the ocean! Start on a positive feature at about chest level. Move up to a large pocket, then work your way up side-pulls and crimps until you're over the bulge. Best done at low tide. Otherwise you need a rock or something to start off -- unfortunately rocks don't make great crash pads. Even at low tide you need a towel or something to step on because the wet sand sticks all over your shoes.

There are also some slab problems on the East side.
