In the Rueda and Dembo article, the authors argue that there is a difference between the cognitive framework used to study motivation and the sociocultural framework. In your own words, I want you to discuss what this difference is. Then I want you to comment on this difference: Is it important? What (if anything) does the sociocultural framework add? What practical difference does it make (i.e., how does it make a difference in how you might motivate or understand the motivation of others?)?
