Welcome from Our Director
Welcome to the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. Our School, located on the lower level of McKee Hall on the west campus of the University, holds one of the top five majors on campus, Psychology. Everything we do here is designed to create opportunities that can transform individuals’ lives in a way that has a positive and lasting impact on society. We have embraced UNC’s teacher-scholar philosophy and explicitly designed our programs and classes to help you achieve that goal, to pursue a successful career in Psychology and, ultimately, to live a fulfilling and rewarding life.
I invite you to explore our web pages to learn more about our faculty, their research, and the programs we offer. Our faculty are all well-rounded scientist-practitioners who teach, conduct research, and consult in areas of Psychological Science, including Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, Educational and Social Psychology as well as Neuroscience and Applied Cognitive Science. We have a range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology; an online B.A. completion program; an accelerated (4 + 1) B.A. Psychology + Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Psychology; and an online M.A. and on-site Ph.D., both in Educational Psychology. We are currently working toward expanding our graduate programs and certificates to include other areas of Applied Psychology and Interdisciplinary Science, and we encourage you to check back often to find out the latest on what we have to offer.
We are excited about the School’s use-inspired vision and mission, and we'll be sharing more about that soon. Whether you are a prospective or current student, a faculty or staff member, alumnus or other visitor, I hope that you will find the information on our website useful. Thank you for visiting the School of Psychological Sciences.
