Application Process

We welcome your application to our program.
There are five application steps:

1. Submit the Graduate School application and materials - please note the Graduate School application must be accepted prior to program acceptance.
   • Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MA
   • Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Family and Couples Therapy, MA
   • School Counseling, MA
2. Download the application packet (pdf) and submit the Professional Counseling application materials.
3. Give the APCE reference forms included in packet to three former faculty or supervisors.
4. Submit GRE score report (if your GPA is below 3.0).
5. Respond to invitation for the February preadmission workshop. Invitations will go out after the December 15 application submission deadline.

News and Announcements

• Chris Watney (MA-Community Counseling-1996), President of the Colorado Children's Campaign was selected to the Denver Posts list of most influential women in Colorado.
• Dr. Fred Hanna received the 2011-2012 College of Education and Behavioral Sciences' teacher of the year award.
• The counseling honor society, Chi Sigma Iota (CSI), initiated 14 new members on Sunday, April 22nd. Keynote speaker and UNC's Dean of Students, Dr. Katrina Rodriguez, spoke about professional development and leadership among counselors. She encouraged each member to leave their comfort zone by take chances as professionals and as leaders. CSI proudly welcomes our newest members.
