As Chief Learning Officer of DLS, Steve has more than fourteen years of technical and instructional design experience. At DLS Group, Steve specializes in technology-based applications for the telecommunications, securities, insurance, and banking industries.
His areas of expertise include cognitive task analysis and assessment, performance interventions for knowledge workers, the application of software engineering methodologies to the discipline of instructional systems design, and Web-based training evaluation.
Steve received his Ph.D. in educational technology from the University of Northern Colorado in 1999. His dissertation, "An Investigation of the Stability of Pathfinder-Related Measures," received the Graduate Dean's Citation for Excellence and the Graduate Dean's Citation for Outstanding Dissertation. He is a frequent conference presenter and has co-authored several book chapters on performance support systems.
Steve is an active member of the International Society for Performance Improvement, the American Psychological Association, the American Educational Research Association, the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society, and the Association for Educational Communications and Technology.
