A doctoral minor in applied statistics and research methods is available to students in any UNC doctoral program with the approval of their doctoral program advisor. The Program also offers several graduate statistics and research methodology courses in support of the research requirements of 49 other UNC graduate programs. No application to the Applied Statistics and Research Methods program is necessary.
Completion of the minor will show up in transcripts as a Minor in Applied Statistics and Research Methods. The doctoral minor is not available to students in Applied Statistics and Research Methods degree programs. Some or all of the SRM courses used for the minor may be part of a student's required or elective classes. In consultation with their home program faculty advisor, graduate students may include sufficient SRM courses in their programs of study to meet the requirements for the ASRM doctoral minor.
