Report on Diversity in the Teacher Preparation Curriculum
The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is committed to the inclusion of topics on diversity into teacher preparation programs. We believe that it is critical for teacher candidates to have knowledge and understanding of issues pertinent to diversity. We also strive to provide our teacher candidates with experiences working with diverse students in P-12 schools.

Native American Innovative Leader Program (NAIL)
The University of Northern Colorado (summer 2005) was awarded a grant through the Office of Indian Education (OIE), designed for 35 Native American teachers from any tribe who wish to advance their career in leadership. The program will enable future leaders to address the critical needs of students in school with large populations of Native American students.
Closing the Achievement Gap: An ESL Reform Initiative
CEBS Diversity and Equity Committee
This committee has the charge to prioritize diversity issues across the College, including supporting the recruitment and retention of diverse faculty, staff, and students; advocating for the infusion of diversity into the curriculum; and providing professional development for the College on diversity.
