Resume Creator Instructions

Resume Creator is a FREE resource for current UNC students and alumni. This tool allows you to quickly create, format, and edit your resume using resume examples for you to choose from.

Getting Started

  • Log on to Bears Career Connection (BCC)
  • On the left hand menu click on "Create Resume using Resume Creator"
  • Resume Creator Image
  • Click on "Resume Templates" to get started
  • You may "Preview" each template to find an example you would like to use
  • Once you find one that suits you, click anywhere in the grey box of the example resume to begin to build your resume
  • Fill in your information when prompted, then click on "Save & Preview"
  • Name your resume and click "Save." Your resume will be saved in your BCC account under "My Documents."
  • Save your resume as a Word Document on your computer as well and open it in Word to further edit.
    • You will be able to add and delete sections and information as you choose when editing your resume in Word
      • Once you have edited your resume, see "Upload an Updated Resume" below for instructions on saving your resume in BCC
    • You can edit, download, and delete your resume documents in Resume Creator

Upload an Updated Resume

To upload a resume from your computer after you have edited it:

  • Log on to BCC and go to "My Account" then "My Documents"
  • Find the resume you wish up update and click on "Update"
  • Upload your updated resume. This will replace your old resume.
    • If you wish to keep your old resume, click on "Add" above the resume box. This will add a new document to your account.
