History:
The University Center was completed in 1965. It has been remodeled numerous times to accommodate students' needs and desires. The University Center is part of West Campus and exists on land that was once the Petrikin's farm. The University Center actually sits where the Petrikin's home once existed.

University Center

Current Use:
The University Center is home to various services, from the UNC card office to the College Transition Center. Retail services, such as Starbucks Coffee, Barnes and Noble bookstore and Wells Fargo bank offer on-campus convenience. The center provides a place where students can take a break, grab a bite to eat, and email friends in the 24-hour computer commons. Career Services, Student Activity offices, meeting rooms and a ballroom also reside in this facility.
