History:
Decker hall was built in 1921, during the presidency of John Grant Crabbe.
Decker was built concurrently with Belford and Gordon Halls. These
three
women's dormitories were built under the premise that the institution needed
to attract more female students. This building also served as the University
Health Center for many decades. The Health Center is now located in
Cassidy
Hall. The building was renovated as part of the Central Campus Residence
Halls project.
