Detour From Stress

Detour From Stress presents a positive way to give your participants the help they need to manage the stress in their everyday lives. This “mini” health fair consists of a series of six “stress relief stations” identified by appropriate traffic signs. In an informal and relaxed atmosphere, participants go from station to station, participating in activities that help them learn about stress and particular coping strategies. At each station, there are handouts that relate to the coping strategy at the stress relief station. The six stress relief stations include: Inspirations, Humor, Ventilation, Perceptions, Play, and Relaxation. The Detour From Stress programming kit includes a step-by-step planning guide, master copies of handouts and publicity flyers, and posters for each stress relief station.

Get Real: Straight Talk About Women’s Health

“Get Real: Straight Talk About Women’s Health” tells the story of several young women and the issues they have faced and dealt with during an age of great personal change: the late teens and early twenties. This educational seminar provides young women with the knowledge they need to lead healthy lives and consists of three basic elements: preparation and promotion, video presentation, and follow-up discussion. Topics include: nutrition and fitness, alcohol and substance abuse, eating disorders, sexual harassment and rape, and STDs. Program facilitators can focus on just one topic or review them all! This programming kit includes a video, facilitator’s guide, and posters for publicity (1 per check-out). The facilitator’s guide contains information and materials to help you set-up the event, introduce the program to your audience, involve your audience in meaningful discussion after viewing the video, and provide additional information and resources as a follow-up.
