All workshops are FREE to UNC students, faculty and staff. Pre-registration is required, but easy. Simply call 351-2062 or visit the Campus Recreation Center Entry Desk to sign-up.
- Sleep Workshop: Featuring Bright Light Therapy
- September 1st – 3rd

- In this interactive and informative workshop, participants will learn how to normalize their Circadian Rhythm, how to improve sleep quality, how proper sleep hygiene improves sleep, and how much sleep is enough. Using special lighting, subjects will be able to reap the benefits of Bright Light Therapy, as their sleep pattern is returned to normal.

- Join Campus Recreation and the Student Dietetic Association as we uncover fun and easy ways to cook up our daily greens. This interactive workshop features live cooking demos, recipes, and free tastings! These nutritious—but often unappealing food groups—are finally getting their turn in the spotlight. Delectable!
- Dealing with Difficult Relationships

- In this enormously helpful and informative workshop, members from the Assault Survivors Advocacy Program will discuss ways to improve and manage any type of relationship. This presentation will provide tips and concrete ways to protect yourself, others, and build stronger relationships with those around you. A must for anyone seeking guidance with a current relationship, friends who want to help others, or anyone seeking to improve communication and learn proper conflict resolution.

- An integral part of “Love Your Body Week”, this interactive workshop will seek to establish positive thought processes, while calming down your inner being. Whether gaining self-confidence, enjoying a relaxing experience, or seeking to understand the concepts of neuroplasticity, this workshop is for you. Led by Psychotherapist and Clairvoyant Healer Anne Price.
- Achieving a Healthy Body Image

- The main element encompassing “Love Your Body Week”, this engrossing and fun workshop will seek to divulge the media’s stereotypes and inappropriate portrayal of the human body. With a critical eye, participants will uncover the untruths our society has touted and discover their true worth is found in how they see themselves. Led by Psychologist Meredith Cohn-Shefferman this workshop will truly help us all to achieve a healthy body image.

- This informative workshop will educate participants in how to save money, build credit, pay off loans, and protect their identity. Led by Christine McClatchey, professor of the Monfort College of Business, participants will learn how to understand financial terms and will leave the workshop with assurance that they know how to live in financial freedom.
- Restorative Yoga and Breathing Techniques

- Looking to relax and offset some of that finals stress? Then this workshop is for you! Join Julie Boutwell, Certified Yoga Instructor as she teaches various breathing techniques and Restorative Yoga poses to rejuvenate and replenish your depleted soul. The perfect study break!
- Couples Massage Workshop

- The final event for “Stress Less Week”. Feeling overworked, stressed, and sore? Then this workshop is for you! Join a Certified Massage Therapist as they educate you and a partner in massage techniques, safety, aromatherapy, and other methods to impart relaxation to another. Definitely a “hands-on” workshop, so bring a good friend!
