Becoming a Bicycle Friendly University:

Greetings UNC Community,
The City of Greeley recently became a certified Bicycle Friendly Community through The League of American Bicyclists.  The League of American Bicyclists is a company that represents bicyclists in the movement to create safer roads, stronger communities, and a bicycle-friendly America.  Earlier this summer, the Department of Campus Recreation and UNC Outdoor Pursuits submitted an application on behalf of UNC to become certified a Bicycle Friendly University (BFU).  The Bicycle Friendly University program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting and providing a bike friendly campus for students, faculty/staff and visitors.
To help complete the application process and become a Bicycle Friendly University, the League of American Bicyclists has requested feedback from the bicycle advocates at UNC and the Greeley community to improve their understanding of UNC.  Please consider spending 5 minutes sharing your thoughts and opinions at  The survey link will be open through Monday, September 15, 2014.
If you have any questions, please contact Daniel Lawrence, Coordinator of Outdoor Pursuits at 970-351-2643 or
