Becoming a Bicycle Friendly University:
Greetings UNC Community,
The City of Greeley recently became a certified Bicycle Friendly Community through The League of American Bicyclists. The League of American Bicyclists is a company that represents bicyclists in the movement to create safer roads, stronger communities, and a bicycle-friendly America. Earlier this summer, the Department of Campus Recreation and UNC Outdoor Pursuits submitted an application on behalf of UNC to become certified a Bicycle Friendly University (BFU). The Bicycle Friendly University program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting and providing a bike friendly campus for students, faculty/staff and visitors.
To help complete the application process and become a Bicycle Friendly University, the League of American Bicyclists has requested feedback from the bicycle advocates at UNC and the Greeley community to improve their understanding of UNC. Please consider spending 5 minutes sharing your thoughts and opinions at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BFU2014CampusReviewer. The survey link will be open through Monday, September 15, 2014.
If you have any questions, please contact Daniel Lawrence, Coordinator of Outdoor Pursuits at 970-351-2643 or Daniel.Lawrence@unco.edu.
