Announcements - Each week, your instructor should post important information and reminders in this section. b. Syllabus/Course Information - Your instructor should attach the course syllabus here. c. Faculty Information - You will find important information about your instructor here. d. Course Materials - This is where you will find the bulk of your course. Once inside course materials, you may need to enter folders to view their contents. Your instructor may place notes, assignments, tests, web sites, and links to discussion forums inside course materials. e. Assignments - This is an optional menu item. Some instructors may place their assignments here instead of within Course Materials. f. Communication - Access e-mail, collaboration (chat), discussion board, group pages, and announcements here. g. Discussion Board - Participate in class discussions here. If you don't see Discussion Board on the menu, click on Communication to access this feature. Your instructor may link to the discussion board from within course materials too. h. Web Sites - This is an optional menu item where your instructor can place Web sites. Your instructor may place Web sites within course materials instead. i. Student Tools - You can check your grade, change personal information, and access other helpful features here. j. Course Map - You may view the contents of the entire course with this button. It may be useful if you need help finding something within the course. |
