Using Assignment Manager to Submit an Assignment

Before you begin, you should print this tutorial.

You must be logged into Blackboard and inside your class.

1. Click on Assignments.

If you don't see Assignments, your instructor has probably put the assignment within their Course Materials. In this case, click on Course Materials to locate the assignment. You will probably have to go inside a folder to locate the assignment.

2. If your instructor has added an assignment, you will see a clipboard with a green checkmark. The assignment title and instructions will appear. Click on the View/Complete button.

3. The assignment name and instructions will appear again. If your teacher has attached a worksheet or grading rubric, open it by clicking the link. If this area is blank, your instructor did not attach assignment files and you can go to step 4.

4. You may type comments for your instructor.

5. Next, browse for the assignment. Click on the Browse button.

Notice: You may attach additional files by clicking on the Add Another File button.

6. Double click the desired file.

File names should not include special characters or spaces. Do not use the following symbols in a file name: /, ?, or #. Also, if using a program besides Microsoft Word, you should save your file as a rich text file before uploading. To do this, go to your word processor's file menu and select save as. One of your choices will be rich text file. Select this format.

7. To submit the assignment, click the Submit button.

Note: You can only submit the assignment one time. If you make a mistake, your teacher must clear your attempt through their grade book.

8. Click on OK when you see the receipt. After your teacher has graded your assignment, you can check your score in the grade book. To see your instructor's feed back, click on your score in the grade book.
