How do I get an Email Account?
A:  An email account is automatically created the day after a student is accepted to UNC.

Q: What is my BearMail Email ID and how do I activate my account?
A:  It is the first four characters of your last name* and 4 random numbers (i.e. smit1234 or fox4321).  To find out your actual  BearMail Email ID, you will need to access either of the links shown below off the URSA portal login page.

Q: What is my Email Address?
A:  The standard email address for students is listed as
<Email ID>@unco.edu    So for example a student with a Bearmail account of smit1234 would have an email address of smit1234@unco.edu

Actual student email addresses are <Email ID>@blue.unco.edu but email routing has been set for the UNC campus to route email sent to UNCO.EDU to BLUE.UNCO.EDU for students.

How do I change my password for BearMail?
A:  Passwords are changed in two ways.  If you don't know your
              password, you will need to change it by accessing the Bearmail 
              Password Change
link in Webster.   If you know your password
              but want to change it, you can change it using the link within BearMail
              after you have logged into BearMail.

Q: How do I access BearMail?
       A:  Open a web browser and navigate to the BearMail site: 
              http://blue.unco.edu.   You will be prompted to enter your
             Email ID and password.
  

Q: What if I don't want to use my BearMail account?
       A:  You can forward your BearMail account to your preferred email account.
