BearMail & Blackboard

What's the difference?

BearMail and Blackboard use the same characters for your logins -- but they access two entirely different systems.  Currently, they authenticate with the same password, so changing your URSA or Bearmail password, also means your Blackboard password is changed.

BearMail - The login to Bearmail the student email system is referred to as the "Email ID" and should be comprised of the first 4 letters of your last name and 4 random digits.  It is created the day after you register for classes with a random password thus, you will need to change the password by activating your URSA account.

Blackboard - The login to Blackboard the online class system is referred to as the "USERNAME" and is purposely made the same as your Email ID and allows you to access your account with the same password as your URSA/Bearmail account.
