NonStandard Browser Issues:


Important Notice for AOL, Earthlink and CompuServ Users

If your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is AOL, Earthlink or CompuServ, your login attempt to our e-mail server will generate this error message "Session Timed Out: Log In Again."  This is caused by the non-standard browsers these ISP's use and Bearmail being incompatible. To be able to log into Bearmail, try the following steps:

  1. Connect to AOL, CompuServ or Earthlink network with your regular dialup procedure to get onto the internet. 
  2. Open a standard browser session OUTSIDE of the AOL, CompuServ or Earthlink browser environment by minimizing your AOL, CompuServ or Earthling browser window by clicking on the maximize/minimize box which should be located at the top right corner of the window.

    This will  leave AOL, Compuserv or Earthlink running while you surf with a standard browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape.
  3. Open Internet Explorer or Netscape by double-clicking the icon or shortcut to it.
     
  4. You should now be able to log into Bearmail at http://blue.unco.edu
     
  5. For first time access to BearMail you may need to follow these steps:

    Open Internet Explorer browser, do the following:

    • At the Internet Explorer Menu bar, select: Tools/Internet Options...
    • Select : Delete Cookies... @ Delete Cookies Message Display, 
      Select: OK
    • Select: Delete Files...
    @ Delete Files Message Display, 
    Select: OK
     
    -Select OK to exit the Internet Options
