Dr. William Hoyt
Dr. William Hoyt is a professor of Oceanography and Director of the School of Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Physics. He’s a marine biologist and sedimentologist by training, and is active in studies of coral reefs, both ancient and modern. He said, "I knew Charlie was really a rare gem of a student from the first day I had him in class. He is a fine example of an engaged, bright student."

- I am irritate by people who don’t know anything about a particular topic, but have very strongly held views and consider themselves experts.

- Get in to see your professors early and often. They want to invest in you—otherwise they would not be here!
- Favorite things to do in the front range for fun:
- Camping, hiking, backpacking, running, skiing with my family.
