I majored in Musical Theatre with an Emphasis in Acting. I moved to New York last July and was assigned to a couple of agents. I’m starting my career as a young artist. I graduated in May of 2008, but my brother won’t graduate until December. It will be the first time in our lives we’ve been separated for more than 10 days.
UNC is a great place to learn and to be a college kid. I’ve lived on campus for all four years. Mom suggested it and she was right. There are no rent, no utility bills, everything’s provided. It really helps you concentrate on what you’re doing here, and that helps tremendously.
Tracy Salter has been a rock for me. She’s a professor of theatre speech and analysis. She’s taught me so many things, acting-wise, especially with Greek and Shakespeare. I’ve also been working as her assistant for about a year, which has been great.
I love the Rec Center. It’s a top-notch facility. It’s got all brand new equipment, and there’s always room on the elliptical!
