ASAP's Mission

ASAP's mission is to facilitate the recovery of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking survivors by creating a safe environment in which the student survivor may complete their education. This is accomplished by the provision of crisis, academic, and advocacy services to the survivor and their significant other(s).

ASAP is a partnership of student volunteers and professional staff that provides confidential medical, legal, administrative, and law enforcement advocacy, support and crisis intervention, information and referrals for survivors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

In addition, ASAP provides education and prevention programs to increase awareness of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking issues on the UNC campus. Preventive and educational efforts include presentations and trainings for the university community. Our programming addresses diverse campus populations, and is offered throughout the academic year. A resource library is available in the ASAP office for educational and research purposes to supports the academic mission of the university.

All program services are available to UNC students who feel they have been violated, regardless of where or when the violence occurred.
