Student Engagement and Community Standards
With over 120 student clubs, athletic events, and academic programs happening all over campus, knowing how to get involved can be a little overwhelming. Campus engagement is so important to student satisfaction and we can help your students find ways to get involved. The Student Engagement, Rights, and Responsibilities presentation reviews ways to get involved on campus, UNC's Honor Code, and the Student Handbook. UNC students have the right to an engaging, safe, and respectful campus environment, inside and outside the classroom. Students also have responsibilities to act in accordance with certain standards of conduct so as to not interfere with the rights of others or put anyone in harm's way. The presentation includes interactive case studies that allow FYE students to read real situations that could take place on or off-campus and reflect on what type of consequences the students involved may face.

“Discover Your Strengths”
For this presentation, students need to complete an inventory called “Strengthsquest.” The inventory can either be taken at UNC Career Services, or at Strengthquest.com, for a $15 fee. Students need to allow approximately 30 minutes to complete the inventory. Results will list the top five strengths of the student. The Class presentation will assist students to learn more about their top five strengths, as well as learn about the strengths of others, in an incredibly active format. Students then have unlimited access to the Strengthsquest website, which offers information about how to apply strengths to academics, class registration, career choice, leadership development and positive relationships.

How to Maximize the Major Fair Experience
The Major Fair is absolutely the premier event that each undeclared and pre major should attend. This is an annual event where each major has representation at the fair to offer 4 year plans, entrance requirements, and additional perspective that will aid students in their decision to declare.
