Planning for Delivery of Outcomes

Evaluation Methods

Implementation of Assessment Process:

Course and instructor evaluations are completed at the final class meeting, and prepared by the end of final’s week. Our offices conducted a program evaluation project to refine and improve UNC’s FYE 108 curriculum. Our staff analyze the results throughout the spring semester and use the results as a guide to develop the course content, infrastructure, and evaluation processes. Most recently, these efforts resulted in new guidelines for designing an FYE 108 section’s content and syllabus, as well as more effective methods for evaluating both the course and its instructors. These improvements were implemented in the fall 2009 semester’s course. Evaluation data continues to inform the program’s development,  as we remain dedicated to advancing and enhancing the FYE program to best serve our students at UNC.
