UndeclaredThe days of dreaming about your new life as a college student is now a reality. You have unpacked your most prized possessions, said goodbye to your parents, and began hanging posters on the walls of your new room. You finally meet your new roommate. You begin talking about your class schedules, locating buildings on your campus map, and what time you will have to get up to make it to your 8am class. Then you’re roommate asks the inevitable question – “So, what’s your Major?” UNC is committed to the many students who have come to college to explore the many options available to them. The Office of Academic Support and Advising (ASA) is dedicated to providing academic advising to students who are Undeclared. Students are empowered to develop necessary skills to become self-directed learners through the delivery of resources, information, referrals, and professional role-modeling provided through ASA academic advising. Academic advising is facilitated by invested ASA Advisors who create a student-centered environment that is supportive and non-judgmental. The transition to university life is unique for each student and the ASA Advisor will tailor services to ensure a focus on achieving academic, career, and personal aspirations. Dare to Dream – Be Undeclared! “To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest” - Unknown |
