Managing Producer, UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival
Amy Murphy is the Managing Producer of the UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival and Co-Director of the UNC Jazz Camp at the University of Northern Colorado, where she directs the beginning and intermediate vocal jazz ensembles, Vocalese & Verve.
She has served as a judge for both the Colorado All State Choir and All State Jazz Choir, as an adjudicator for the UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival, and a clinician for classical and jazz choirs across Colorado.
Amy also taught voice at the Rocky Mountain Vocal Jazz Camp and at Front Range Community College, where she directed choirs and founded Front Range Community College's first Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
In 2010 Amy was a national finalist in classical voice for a Fulbright grant to study in Germany. She spent a year there studying at the Goethe Institut and the Universität Leipzig. In Germany, Amy performed as a guest soloist for festivals and concerts in Schwäbisch Hall and Bremen, and sang with the BachChor, Leipzig. In 2012 she was selected as a finalist in the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition.
Amy currently sings in the Colorado Bach Ensemble, and with UNC colleagues and founding members of the Vertical Voices, Kerry Marsh and Julia Dollison. Amy received her B.M. in Vocal Performance and M.M.E. from the University of Northern Colorado.
