Dr. Charlotte Mills is Professor of Music, Music Education, and Coordinator of the Class Piano Program at the University of Northern Colorado. Her teaching experience ranges from elementary and secondary vocal music to college piano and pedagogy/methods classes. Her specialty areas include elementary music, middle school general music, class piano and integrating arts strategies. Dr. Mills serves as a curriculum consultant throughout the Rocky Mountain region and is a school facilitator for the University’s Center for Integrated Arts Education. She has given numerous presentations for state, regional and national Music Educators Conferences, National Humanities in the Arts Conferences, and has been selected for collaborative voice and piano performances for the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. Dr. Mills serves as a clinician and adjudicator for keyboard and choral festivals. For the past five years she has been invited to give lectures to prospective students and parents for the Academic Excellence Week at UNC. Dr. Mills holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska and a Doctor of Arts Degree in Piano Performance/Pedagogy and a secondary emphasis in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
